Is it possible to add a chat box to the forum. I personally think it would a pretty awesome to have one and chat with everyone here.

Yeah we are sorting out options for this.
I put forward an IRC chat, but we are trying to find a way to have one within the forum.

We were sort of worried about this - but I think that if people were on the forums having a chat and saw a new topic they would read it.

Well I do not see how it could increase activity, it would make alot of people happy that are active regularly.

thats true, but the main problem I find with chat boxes are the spam they might bring, and makes flaming a lot easier. Especially when someone is trying to join in on a conversation

Well maybe there is some way to implement private chats, where you have to be invited to the conversation with the certain members in the conversation.

I highly doubt there will be people spamming our chat box when we don't have very many active people on the site.

There have been discussions about this on the team speak, and I think that it could be a big possibility. Although, I would like to have a voice chat as well, it would be a lot easier to communicate to people.
