Nintendo Snatches Super Mario 4 Domain

Apr 14 2012 02:57 AM | JDawg in Wii News

It sounds like Nintendo has assumed control of the domain supermario4.com. Apparently there is a new mario game in the works for the 3DS that is a 2d platformer, could this be the next mario bros game?

The funny thing about the Super Mario Bros franchise is the fact that the last one was on the original Nintendo (NES). Are they trying to revive the series? Maybe, but most people will tell you that there is already a Super Mario Bros 4, its Super Mario World! Super Mario Bros 4 was actually in its beta stage on NES, but was later scrapped and made for the early staged SNES, and is said to be the same theme as the beta SMB4.

So what can we hope for in a new mario game? Most likely a completely 2d experience for me personally. The New Super Mario Bros was a 3D game in a 2D aspect, which was cool, but I have always wanted an old school 2d sprite based game from Nintendo, just for the hell of it.

Mass Effect 3 Patch released on PC

Apr 09 2012 02:09 PM | JDawg in PC News

Looks like BioWare has released a patch for PC today, fixing a couple of issues in the game. Consoles will be getting the patch tomorrow hopefully. Some of the fixes for the patch:

Quote

Fixed issues when in some cases Shepard’s customized facial features from ME1/ME2 may not be properly imported to ME3

Fixed an issue when quickly and repeatedly selecting to Resume a Save could result in Player Level reset and a potential locking of powers.

Fixed an issue when selecting Multiplayer in the Main Menu while under a poor network connection could result in an unresponsive state.

Fixed a potential crash while accessing an in-game terminal from Eden Prime level.

Fixed an issue when attempting to login while Server is down. It would display a Server Down message and accepting the Server Shutdown message would shut down the game.

Fixed a potential memory crash while loading a Quick Save of a custom FemShep.

Fixed an issue when restarting missions and acquiring an above max amount of weapon mods results in displayed debug text on-screen.

Fixed an issue when an unresponsive game state could occur during transition after the Conduit level.

Fixed an issue when DLC game saves can be accessed from an account without DLC if another account on the same computer has access to the related DLC. (PC Only)

Fixed an issue when saves from different accounts on the same computer may become locked if one account has access to DLC which the other account does not. (PC Only)

Fixed an issue when potentially the game could enter unresponsive state when transitioning from the Holding Docks area to the Normandy Docks area of the Citadel. (PS3 Only)

So if any of those bugs were a problem for you then you are in luck.

Dark Souls Coming To PC

Apr 07 2012 02:22 PM | JDawg in PC News

Well it looks like the game Dark Souls will be coming to PC this august, along with all new content. The Dark Souls:Prepare To Die Edition for PC will feature new boss battles, so for those who have never played Dark Souls because of it being on consoles, you will now be able to play the game everyone's been "raging" about.

Only problem that console gamers will have, is that Namco Bandai said there would be no DLC for Dark Souls. Does this mean you will need to play the PC for the new content, or perhaps buy a special edition? Well, they did say that Dark Souls would never be on PC. Now look what happened.

So be on the lookout in August when Dark Souls releases on PC.

Kingdom Hearts 3D coming to North America

Apr 07 2012 01:23 PM | JDawg in Wii News

Looks like Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is making its way to North America on July 31st. This latest entry in the Kingdom Hearts series is currently on top of the Japanese charts as of now for the 3DS, but hasn't necessarily beaten the last Kingdom Hearts game in sales, which was on DS. Nonetheless the game has had lots of pre-orders and should be hitting North America pretty soon.

But still, people are wondering. Where is Kingdom Hearts 3 already?
